More than 900 students crossed the stage as University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF) celebrated its first-ever graduating class during Spring Convocation 2026 on May 21.

The milestone ceremony honored graduates from UNF’s Master of Arts in Digital Media and Global Communications, Master of Data Analytics, and Master of Management programs. Valedictorian Laden Akyildiz Isguder, a member of UNF’s founding cohort, reflected on the university’s journey from its opening in 2024 to this historic moment.

The ceremony also marked the formal installation of Dr. David Gray as UNF’s first President and Vice-Chancellor. The installation was led by GUS North America CEO Dr. Cyndi McLeod.

UNF also presented four Distinguished Impact Awards to individuals and organizations whose leadership and support helped establish the university, including GUS North America Chief Commercial and Compliance Officer Victoria Martin.
